Freeze Dried Blackcurrant Powder

Freeze Dried Blackcurrant Powder is made from pure blackcurrant for sharp, tangy flavour and bold purple colour. The fine powder blends smoothly into frostings, batters, fillings, and dessert recipes while delivering strong fruit flavour.

Key Features

  • 100% pure blackcurrant, nothing added
  • Sharp, tangy flavour with natural berry sweetness
  • Bold purple colour payoff
  • No additives, no preservatives
  • Up to 24 months shelf life
  • Once opened, store in an airtight container

Perfect For

  • Blackcurrant frostings and buttercreams
  • Smoothies and fruit drinks
  • Macarons and meringues
  • Cheesecakes and mousse
  • Porridge and yogurt bowls

Mix and Match

Pairs well with Freeze Dried Raspberry Powder or Freeze Dried Strawberry Powder for a mixed berry frosting blend. Also pairs with Freeze Dried Blueberry Powder for a deeper, darker berry colour and flavour combination.

How to Use

Mix into buttercream, batters, or blend into drinks. For stronger colour, use a slightly larger amount. The flavour is quite sharp, so start with half a teaspoon and build from there.

Recipe Idea: Mixed Berry Drip Cake

Make a blackcurrant and raspberry powder buttercream for the outer layer of a vanilla sponge. Swirl both powders separately into the frosting before applying for a natural two-tone purple and pink effect.

Dietary Suitability: Vegetarians, Vegans, Diabetics, Kosher and Halal diets; however, the product is not Kosher or Halal certified.

Ingredients: Blackcurrant (100%).
